    Summary: This report documents a review of selected literature to determine the appropriate correlations to use for McMaster Nuclear Reactor safety analysis.  It was found that the standard Moody diagram (which is based on the transcendental Colebrook equation) is sufficiently accurate for pipe flow but problematic to program, whereas simple approximations do not account for pipe wall roughness.  Herein, a very simple function is offered that returns an accurate estimate of f as a function of Reynolds Number, Re, and relative roughness e/D in a non-iterative fashion.  In addition, a simple correction factor for channel flow is offered.
